My friend Snoopi Botten posted the below on Facebook. I'm passing it along. Feel free to share this information withothers.
The comments below my name are what Snoopi posted on Facebook. I added some words of my own in brackets for clarification purposes.

If my information is correct, there is a Dectalk kit that our company can get that will allow us to make Dectalk into a SAPI 5. This would make Dectalk available for all screen readers for the blind, and all AAC devices that can handle SAP...I 5 speech engines. This is vital because device companies are slowly getting away from Dectalk. If Dectalk goes away, no one will be able to sing or act any more.
Please pass this around the internet. I need documentation of interest in Dectalk.
If you would like to see Dectalk remain available [or are interested in ordering when SAPI5 Dectalk is available], please leave a comment [on Facebook], or write dectalk@aol.com. Thank you.
Please pass along that i am extremely interested.
It was my understanding when passing along the Dectalk SAPI5 announcement that a SAPI5 Dectalk is definite. I learned today that a SAPI5 Dectalk is not yet something that will definitely happen, only a 95 percent possibility. Currently, Snoopi is asking people to email him if interested in a SAPI5 Dectalk. It is my hope that a SAPI5 Dectalk will eventually become a reality. When sharing the SAPI5 Dectalk announcement, please pass this clarification message along as well.
deffinetly i'd love to see that happen. if it does I know more than likely i'll be using that and not E_speak with NVDA
Great news! The SAPI Dectalk is nearing reality. When it is available for purchase, I will provide an update with price and ordering instructions.
Thanks for all this info. *smile* I like DecTalk, and it would be cool having it available as a possible option for a screenreader voice, whether it's free or we need to purchase it separately. *smile*
